Bob & Elli Steeb

Is a friend or member of your family searching for a faith connection? Did you know that the Diocese of Rochester has a website that can help seekers in their spiritual journey? The purpose of “The Spiritual Pilgrim” is to answer some initial questions about the Catholic faith, then to connect the inquirer with a personin a parish for further conversation. Please do whatever you can to spread the word about this Diocesan website: share the web address with the (spiritualpilgrim.dor.org), post the videos to your Facebook page, or ‘like’ the website. This outreach will be successful if everyone helps!

“Finding God in the Dark”

Have you ever thought how nice it would be to have some quiet time to yourself? Time for prayer, time for reflection, time to just be with your God. This year we will provide opportunities to meet and deepen our relationship with God in the silence of our hearts. Scripture, Meditation, Contemporary Movies, and Journaling are a few of the avenues we will take on this journey. Evening Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours at 6:30 pm followed by an experience of prayer in the “Dark” at 7:00 pm. Come for Evening Prayer at 6:30, or come for Meditation at 7:00 pm, or come for Evening Prayer and Meditation from 6:30-8:00. It is always good to have options. We will begin with evening prayer followed by guided meditation from the life of Jesus. Check the EVENT calender for dates and times!

Masses for Ash Wednesday  February 22

8:00 a.m. & 5:30 p.m.

3:00 p.m. Prayer Service Distribution of ashes during Masses & Prayer Service

Ash Wednesday  and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence. Those fourteen years of age and over must abstain from meat. Fast means limiting oneself to one full meal and two lighter meals each day, and binds Catholics from  their 18th birthday to their 59th birthday. One is not bound to fast if health or the ability to work is affected. All Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence only.

During Lent Stations of the Cross will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evenings in the Chapel.
